There are milestone sessions — and then there are the ones that feel like pure magic. August’s first birthday session was one of those.

From start to finish, the day was a celebration of personality, play, and all the little details that make turning one so special. With Wella’s Whimsy balloon décor framing the studio in dreamy creams and taupes, and a stunning cake crafted by Hug’s and Kisses Bakeshop, every piece of the setup was intentional and overflowing with charm.

We began with milestone portraits — August exploring, playing, and showing off his sweet personality. The balloon backdrop made the perfect frame, both fun and sophisticated. Then came the cake smash, where August dove in with curiosity and delight. Hug’s and Kisses Bakeshop outdid themselves with a cake that looked beautiful and tasted even better — August definitely approved.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get more magical, we ended with a floral milk bath.

Surrounded by blooms, August splashed, played, and gave us those wide-eyed looks that make these sessions unforgettable.
