What you wear matters—not because it needs to be perfect, but because it helps you feel at home in the moment. Soft, flowing, earthy, gentle. The textures, tones, and layers you choose become part of the story we’re telling together.
Seasonal Tones
Lean into the colors of the season—sage and sand in spring, sunwashed ochres and dusty pinks in summer, rusts and golds in autumn, soft greys and deep greens in winter. Neutrals, muted hues, and nature-inspired palettes always shine.
Texture & Layers
Knits, linen, gauze, denim, soft cottons. Layers add dimension and movement—think wraps, cardigans, shawls, or a woven hat catching the wind.
Unmatched but Cohesive
You don’t need to match—just feel connected. Pick tones that live in the same world. Layer patterns with care, and let each person bring a little of their own spirit to the frame.
Comfort First
Wear what allows you to play, laugh, move, and hold each other. When you feel good, it shows. Barefoot on the beach? Perfect. A long dress that flows when you twirl? Even better.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
A. Session Fees Client agrees to pay the photographer a retainer at the time of booking to secure their appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable fee that goes toward the session. The balance is due at the time of the session. The session fee covers the photographer’s time, talent, and a curated selection of images (based on session type). Basic retouching is included, and additional edits or upgrades can be purchased separately.
B. Location Costs & Travel If your chosen session location requires permits, entry, or rental fees, the client is responsible for these costs. The standard creative fee includes travel within 30 minutes of Summerland, BC. Locations outside this radius may incur a travel fee discussed in advance.
C. Rescheduling Life happens. You may reschedule your session up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Less than 24 hours' notice or a no-show will result in forfeiture of your retainer. The photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, illness, or unexpected circumstances.
D. Re-shoots & Refunds Re-shoots are granted at the photographer’s discretion. Refunds will not be provided due to styling choices, weather conditions, or non-compliance with prep suggestions. The goal is always to work together toward a meaningful final gallery.
E. Archive & Storage Your gallery will remain available for 12 months after delivery. After this period, files may be archived or removed, with no guarantee of future access. Clients are encouraged to back up downloads upon receipt.
F. Payment Full payment is required unless a payment plan has been arranged prior to your session. Orders, including print and album production, will only begin once full payment is received.
G. Damages Once digital or printed images are delivered, clients assume responsibility for their safekeeping. The photographer is not liable for damage due to mishandling, mail transit, or improper storage.
H. Liability Clients are responsible for the safety and supervision of all participants, especially children, during the session. The photographer is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or accidents that may occur during or as a result of the session.
I. Copyright & Image Use All images are the intellectual property of Deanna Dunham Designs. Clients receive a personal-use print release for the delivered images. This release does not include permission to alter, sell, or publish images without written consent. Screenshots, downloads, or reproductions of proofs, blog posts, or social media images without purchase or credit are strictly prohibited.
A note from the photographer: These images are created with care and intention. I ask that you respect the artistry by properly crediting or linking to my platforms when sharing online. It means the world.
J. Session Conduct & Etiquette

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time to settle and avoid rushing.

Sessions begin at the scheduled time; late arrivals may lose session time.

Kindly refrain from bringing additional guests not being photographed.

No cameras, video recording, or behind-the-scenes content unless agreed upon in writing.

No alcohol is to be consumed before or during your session.
Please come camera-ready: clean faces, styled hair, and no orange or red food/drink beforehand, as these can stain little faces.
